Hi there! Exams, being a very crucial part of education and
a source of stress for many students, are just around the corner and you all
must be wondering how to cope with the pressure and approach them with proper
strength and mindset. Students always remain in fear and are scared to face off these
exams. Mental health is the most important part to succeed and come out with
flying colors. So, here are some tips and tricks (well I use them and they work
the best for me :P ) to help you during this month.
- Tactical Analysis: This is something that sounds very cool, doesn’t it? Hah! I named it. Basically start with what’s expected the most. Go through number of papers and analyze them all accordingly. Something that has been asked a hell number of times that’s definitely going to come this time too! So prepare it thoroughly.
- Study Posture: Never ever in your life lie on a bed and study! It is the worst posture ever. Always find a comfortable space that is, a table and a chair and then study. Studying environment is very necessary as it triggers parts of brain that think of the same environment as that of an examination hall. Try to simulate the space as that of an exam room.
- Notes: Notes are important, not those that have been provided to you by your teachers or faculty. Yes, they’re important too but those that are self-made are the most effective ones. Make your own notes for better results. Our brain’s photographic memory is something that’s very strong. While writing, your brain will remember some peculiar details about some difficult problems and I bet you’ll definitely remember them in future as well.
- Time Management: “OH! It’s 7:05 already! I’ll
start from 7:30.” STOP PROCRASTINATING! I said stop it. We often set our time
and if the minute hand goes past it we set the new offset. So, if you’ve
decided to study at a certain time, do study at that time. Put all the tasks
aside and just concentrate on your work. Choose which time suits you the best and then study
accordingly. Also, if you’re a night person then, it’s not recommended though
but as I’ve tried it so I’m sharing with you all, go for some caffeine drinks
such as coke or a coffee. Winters? I guess coffee is a better choice. And, if
you’re studying in the day time go for walks in parks, refresh your brain with
fresh oxygen, will keep you healthy, physically and mentally as well.
- Take Breaks: Take breaks but not for more than 15-30 minutes if you’re really studying with full concentrations. My personal favorite is to eat chocolates in between which really helps as chocolates are natural stress relievers.
- Listen to Music: Listening to music is yet an another way to getting those frowned eyebrows back to their normal shape.Kidding :p The soothing power of music is well-established. It has a unique link to our emotions, so can be an extremely effective stress management tool. Listening to music can have a tremendously relaxing effect
on our minds and bodies, especially slow, quiet classical music. I recommend
listening to A R Rahman, Led Zepplin, Arijit Singh, Kailash Kher.
- Exercise and Yoga: Exercising and practicing yoga can help your blood vessels adequately
deliver blood to the all parts of your body. Also, it’ll keep you physically
fit so your chances of falling sick are reduced by 70%.
- Subah padhai acchi hoti h. (study in the morning)
- Phone dur rakh do beta. (keep away your phone while studying)
- Let kar mat padho. (don’t lie on bed and study)
- TV mat dekho. (don’t watch TV)
- Facebook chod do. (stop using facebook)
- Whatsapp bhi chod do. (stop using whatsapp)
- Aram se khao. (eat properly)
- Hari sabziyan khao. (eat green vegetables)
- Bhagwan ko bhi thoda time dia karo. (pray to God every day at least for 10 minutes)
I hope these tips and tricks would
definitely help you. Do comment in the section below for feedback and
suggestions for improving my blog. Thanks. All the best!
